Limits

Scope

• One hashtag per run. There is no multi-tag input.
• The recent tab only. There is no "top posts" mode.
• Recent posts, not history. The feed is newest-first with no way to seek to a past date, so reaching a window far in the past means walking forward through pages and will hit the page budget before it arrives.
• No comments, no follower data, no profile scraping, no stories.
• No email addresses or contact details, of anyone, ever.
• Individual carousel slide URLs are not returned — only the cover image.

The session is yours

• It cannot run without a session cookie. There is no unauthenticated path to Instagram's hashtag data.
• We do not supply, sell or rent Instagram accounts, and we do not provide proxies for rotating them.
• Expect the account you use to be rate limited and eventually actioned by Instagram. That is a property of the platform, not a fault in the actor. Use an account you are willing to lose.

What happens to your data

This site, the actor and the hashtag checker are operated by Tiraisoft, Indonesia. Questions about your data go to instagram-hashtag-scraper@tiraisoft.com.

Posts are written to your dataset on your Apify account. This actor keeps no copy of them: it has no database, no storage of its own, and nothing it could hand to anyone. The session cookie you supply is a secret input handled by the Apify platform and is not written to the run log.

You decide what you collect and what you do with it. Instagram's terms, and the law that applies where you are, are yours to judge before you run it.

That sentence is about the actor, and the free hashtag checker on this site is a separate thing, so this page says where the line is rather than leaving you to infer it. The checker is not on any run's path: it never sees your dataset, and nothing you check there reaches a run or is charged. It does see a session, because you paste one — a live check reads Instagram on the cookie you give it, and that cookie is used for the one read and dropped with the request. It is not stored, not logged and not kept in your browser; what it keeps is a reading — counts, rates and tag names — and never a post: no caption, username, post link or image is stored by it or shown on any page it produces.

Who else handles it

• Cloudflare hosts this site and runs the checker. Every request to it passes through Cloudflare, which sees your IP address and the details your browser sends with a request. On the checker page, Cloudflare Turnstile runs a challenge in your browser to tell a person from a script, and the checker passes your IP address to it with the answer. What the checker keeps is held in Cloudflare's key-value storage.
• Instagram receives the read a live check makes. It is sent on the session cookie you paste, so Instagram sees it as a request from that account.
• Apify runs the actor. Your run's input, including the session, and the dataset it writes are on your own Apify account, under Apify's terms.

What the checker keeps, and for how long

• A hashtag's measurement — counts, rates and tag names — for 6 hours, so the next check of the same tag is answered without another read.
• How many checks were answered each day, by outcome, for 30 days. It is a count: no hashtag, address or cookie is in it.
• The last failed read — its time, the hashtag and the reason it failed — for 30 days, each failure replacing the one before. The same line is written to the checker's log. No cookie can reach either.

No warranty

The actor and the free hashtag checker are both provided as is and as available, with no warranty of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted operation, or correction of defects. Instagram changes its platform without notice and can refuse, rate limit or action any account at any time. Whether the output is fit for what you intend is your judgement, on every run.
